Role Summary/Purpose
Reporting to GSC Localization Manager, the Supply Chain localization Manager will be responsible to identify opportunities to develop a supply base in Japan to support OFW localization strategy leveraging existing supplier landscape.
In this role, you will partner with region sales team, local stakeholder and OFW Global functions (Sourcing, Supplier quality, ..) to defined the localization roadmap and manage the execution of the plan once validated.
You will support also interface with our Local assembly partner in Procurement process according to GE process and standards.
Your perfect understanding on local dynamic, Japan supplier capabilities and customer interests will be decisive for the success of this initiative that support GE OFW development in JAPAN.
Essential Responsibilities
• Map and preselect vendors/suppliers in Japan that would support OFW localization plan in line with define Localization strategy.
• Make vendor pre-assessments and due diligence to validate supplier capacity/capabilities
• In coordination with OFW global Sourcing, support RFI/RFP and/or contract negotiation with potential supply chain partners when required.
• Partner with local and Global team (Sales/Supply chain/Engineering/PMO) to define the best Local content strategy to support position in Japan market with robust financial assessment.
• Own the Supply Chain local content plan document that support OFW in tender phase and support discussion with customer on this matter when required.
• Program manage each localization initiative to insure compliance with OFW QA at customer offer bid stage.
• In coordination with each function, drive the plan to execute the local content commitment.
• Support selected Local assembly partner in developing procurement process compliant with process and standards.
• Get clear understanding of Japan legal and regulatory requirements related to Local content framework to anticipate strategic positioning.
• Represent GE Offshore Supply Chain at Industry/Government events.
• Build a local strong network to be in position to anticipate competitor moves and understand what will make the difference.
• Alignment with business strategy through regular contacts with the Management Team

応募資格

Qualifications/Requirements

• Commercial/business acumen with strong industry background ideally in renewables sectors

• A Technical Experience will be plus, preferably in Electronics and mechanical assembly

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College in Purchasing or Engineering or related Field

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in different position Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier development, business development,

• Proven leadership with Diverse and Global team

• Expertise in Suppliers relationship management

Desired Characteristiques :

• Demonstrated understanding of Japan supply chain in the Energy business

• Strategic thinking, capable to integrate strategic imperative and decline in comprehensive plan.

• Ability to represent GE Renewables with external partners & other GE businesses

• Ability to work independently to achieve set targets and objectives

• Result and Delivery Focus with ability to work in a matrix environment, influence and motivate diverse teams to achieve a unified goal

• Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized, and flexible

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at all levels of organization

• Role based in Japan / Tokyo Office with frequent visits to supplier in Japan or Worldwide as per business need

• Language English +++, Japanese++ , Chinese +
