Job Description

This engineer will be in charge of electrical hardware design for X-ray CT scanners detector. CT detector has the electrical components such as photo diode, ASIC, ASIC controller board and the interface cables/flexible printed cable/connectors.
- This engineer will develop these components based on general electrical design rules, some other GEHC specific design guideline and CT detector unique design techniques.
- Not only the part design, this engineer will engage on several activities including customer support, quality and reliability improvement, productivity and manufacturing support and material cost improvement.


Roles and Responsibilities

Develop CT detector’s sensor electronics.

Circuit board hardware design

Support VHDL code to FPGA.

Responsible for the product lifecycle maintenance.

Demonstrate project management processes.

Demonstrate interpersonal and organizational skills, the candidate will be interacting with other development teams. 

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

3 years of relevant experience of electrical hardware design.

Trying to learn from colleagues, team members and others.

Effective oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English.

Desired Characteristics

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

Analog circuit design and simulation tool experience.

Knowledge about semiconductor physics.

Knowledge about micro electronics.

Knowledge about circuit board manufacturing process and design rules.

Knowledge about analog to digital conversion principle.

Digital circuit design and simulation tool experience.

Knowledge about hardware description languages such as VHDL, System Verilog methodologies.

Knowledge about scripting language familiarity such as Java, Python, Matlab.

Knowledge about FPGA design, simulation, and debug.

Knowledge about embedded software development in languages such as C, C++.

Experienced in developing project plans, estimates and the project management.
